Winnipeg via Caronport

Sometimes there are places that you seem to need to lay your head.

It may have added a bit to the trip but it deepened it as well.

Tracy has relatives there - she ended up staying with them.

Marcia and Spence had gone to Briercrest many years ago...

Caronport will always be home to me and a few of my kids.

Sadly my shipment of books did not make it until after we left in
the morning.

The day on the road was spent discovering so many similarities between
Tracy, Marcia and I that we did not know

We all have a child born in 1985 and apparently Ellen who we picked up later in Winnipeg
does as well.

We have all been to Carcross, Yukon and Atlin.

All of us have some aboriginal connection.

We have all written in several genres.

the journey continues.

BIG DAY

Today is a big day for all of us wherever we are!

I know Joshua has been practicing his story about his life for two weeks now.  He is nervous he said to speak into the microphone and talk in front of people.

"You will be there right - I will just look at you and I will be okay? " he asked for the 100th time it seems like.

it is a big deal - he is only 14 and this is the biggest event he has been at in his young life besides his mothers funeral in 2014.

Well he tells me then there was the time he met Mrs, Harper who was then the prime ministers wife.  She was very nice to him and he gave her a picture he had drawn and a thank you.

He also met Kerry Diotte the same day - who is now and MP.

He is proud of himself because he wants to tell his story along with the other readers.

Sadly his brother will not be there - he is in jail.

So many conflicts in one young life.

So much to tell!
